Baguio City will be opening its roads, parks, hotels, and malls to visitors ONLY for residents of Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur.

It’s a step-by-step method implemented by the City heads, the four Provinces and the DOT (Department of Tourism) .

Visitors must first register at the Baguio VIS.I.T.A (Baguio Visitor Information & Travel Assistance) app, must have a pre-book accommodation because staying at relatives are not allowed, must be facilitated by an accredited travel agency, must have an itinerary, must be willing to pay the mandatory triage and PCR testing fees upon arrival, and must have their own vehicles because hotel operators and tour operators are mandated to monitor the activities and the whereabouts of the visitors.

So, unless you really have something important to do, you can do these pre-requisites first or you can just wait for the new normal to normalize much further.

It’s a gradual process indeed. Plus, the economy must move forward without sacrificing the health of the constituents.
