2019 Angkor Empire Marathon & Half Marathon (not in Baguio)

Starting today, I will post half marathons and full marathons from Southeast Asian countries since there is minimal or limited runs already happening in Baguio City.

Also, since it is one of my goals to run in a marathon in a Southeast Asian country, it is best for me to post it so that my dream of running my first ever marathon will be fulfilled. Hopefully, soon.

The Angkor Empire Marathon & Half Marathon is the first ever SEA (Southeast Asia) run to be posted here and this event is held at Angkor which is one of the world’s most famous heritages in the world being declared a world heritage site by UNESCO since 1992.

Its race course will include famous Angkor Wat ruins that are scattered over some 400 sq. km. including several capitals of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th to the 15th century CE. Famous temple of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, and the Bayon Temple will be seen along with its countless sculptural decorations.

This Marathon course is acknowledged by AIMS and IAAF and its running course will be marked the number of every 5 kilometre. ChampionChip Check Point will be available at Angkor Thom (Bayon Temple) and on each U-turn.
