The second anniversary of the Amihan 50 trail run will be happening on 2 December 2018.
The collaborators for this race include Amihan Sports Gear, Active Pinas, Team Malaya, and Pinoy Trails. This time it will be happening in Baguio City after it was done last year at the Tagaytay Road Ultra race.
The mountains of Baguio and Itogon will witness the struggles and happiness of the runners who will join this trail run.
The race directors will be Don Antonio Marcelo Santillan of Active Pinas and Stephen Lopez Bahaghari of Team Malaya. Their history of races includes the Itogonia Wild Country Trail Run for the former and the Sagada Mountain Marathon for the latter.
The race will start at the Camp John Hay Open Field in Baguio City. The race distances will be four categories.
The registration fees for the different categories will be as follows:
- 50-kilometer – Php 2,800.00
- 25-kilometer – Php 2,000.00
- 10-kilometer – Php 1,000.00
- 3-kilometer – Php 600.00
The cut-off times will be the following:
- 50-kilometer – 14 hours with an intermediate cut-off time of 7 hours at kilometer 25
- 25-kilometer – 7 hours
- 10-kilometer – 4 hours
- 3-kilometer – 2 hours
Participants must have a medical certificate for those joining the 50-kilometer and 25-kilometer races. The runners for the 50-kilometer race should have completed a verifiable 42-kilometer race or a 50-kilometer race while those joining the 25-kilometer run should have completed a 21-kilometer run.
