

The second Mount Polis Trail Run happening on 22 October 2017 will have the Lao-ingan Day Care Center as its beneficiary.
Four categories are included for this year’s trail run, namely 5K, 10K, 21K and 42K categories.
Registration fees for the different categories are as follows:
- 42K – Php 2,200.00
- 21K – Php 1,200.00
- 10K – Php 750.00
- 5K – Php 500.00

All 42K and 21K participants who successfully FINISH the trail run will receive a Finisher’s Medal.
Assembly time will be at four in the morning at Pak-as Elementary School in Otocan Sur. Start of the trail run will be at 5:30 AM with a cut-off time of 14 hours for 42K runners and 8 hours for 21K participants.
All participants are expected to be physically and mentally prepared for the trail run since Mount Polis has a high altitude that reaches up to 2000 metres above sea level. The trail race will include long and steep climbs, extended distance and time between aid stations plus unexpected severe weather conditions. Every trail runner is expected to be fully aware of potentially falling along ridge lines and mountainsides and crossing water terrain is also necessary to finish the race.
You need to bring an efficient headlamp or flashlight lasting for almost eight hours and rain jacket, thermal blanket or windbreakers to protect you against harsh weather conditions. Foods with at least 1,500 to 2,000 calories are necessary for 21K and 42K participants as well as water carrier with at least 1,000 ml capacity for 21K and 42K runners while 500 ml for 5K and 10K runners are already sufficient. Do not forget to bring a working mobile phone or cellphones and take note of the contact numbers of the organizer, JOMAR which is 0947-7004977 and 0956-8540019 plus bring a whistle in case emergency is needed or you get lost along the trail. You can also bring sleeping bags if you need to make a full rest.
Medical Certificates should be presented and no refund will be allowed. Race categories and race entries are non-transferrable and littering is strictly prohibited along the race route. Respect for villagers and local people along the race track should be shown and smoking is not allowed. Be helpful to your fellow runners who are in need of assistance.
