Takbo Amianan 2017 of UP Baguio

This advocacy run of the University of the Philippines-Baguio previously scheduled on January 29, 2017 but due to some new measures implemented by the Baguio City local government regarding running events in the said city, the final schedule will be on March 19, 2017.

The Baguio City local government passed an ordinance last fourth quarter of 2016 requiring fund-raising events by securing an initial approval from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) prior to the approval of the local government and then the acquiring a security clearance from the Philippine National Police for the running routes.

It was good news to all supporters of the Takbo Amianan running event, and it will be pushing through on March 19, 2017.

The running routes for the Takbo Amianan 2017 will be the following:

3K Category :
U.P. Drive – Governor Center Road – T.M. Kalaw Street – Baguio Convention Center Road – U.P. Drive

5K Category :
U.P. Drive – Governor Center Road – T.M. Kalaw  Street – Upper Session Road – South Drive – Turning Point – South Drive – Upper Session Road – T. M. Kalaw Street – Baguio Convention Center Road – U.P. Drive

10K Category :
U.P. Drive – Governor Center Road – T.M. Kalaw  Street – Upper Session Road – South Drive – Country Club Road – Sheridan Drive – Ordonio Drive – Loakan Road – Turning Point – Loakan Road – Military Cut-Off Road – Baguio Convention Center Road – U.P. Drive

21K Category :
U.P. Drive – Governor Center Road – T.M. Kalaw Street – Upper Session Road –South Drive – Country Club Road – Sheridan Drive – Ordonio Drive – Loakan Road – Kennon Road – Turning Point – Kennon Road – Loakan Road – Military Cut-Off Road – Baguio Convention Center Road – U.P. Drive

Registration fees for the different categories will be the following:

  • 3K – Php 400.00
  • 5K – Php 450.00
  • 10K – Php 550.00
  • 21K – Php 600.00

Finisher’s medal and finisher’s shirt will only be available for 10K and 21K participants, but all runners will be having loot bags and race bibs as part of the registration fees.

Headlamps, reflectorized gears, and hydration kits are required for the 10K and 21K runners to avoid unnecessary incidents.
